Master's theses
Gather valuable work experience or academic credits with us and be ready to see you work ending up in the final product. We host master's theses only, carried out in collaboration with the Spin Physics and Imaging group at ETH. If you have a natural science, engineering or programming background, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Software, hardware and physics internships
Our products are continuously evolving, and pushing performance further takes better software, more sophisticated hardware and a deep understanding of the physics behind them. On the software side, you will help us build an intuitive interface for the complex job of scanning quantum measurements, with projects ranging from low level measurement sequences and data visualization to automation and user interface. Applicants should have experience coding in Python, ideally in a team.
On the hardware side, you will be designing and building experimental setups, from optics to electronics, and you may even help move new technology over to production. On the physics side, you will work directly on our various NV setups, running measurements and developing measurement techniques. Are you interested?
Internship prerequisites
We invest a lot of effort into our interns, which is why every internship runs for 6 months at 100%. That is the time it takes for you to learn the technology properly and to work on projects that genuinely matter to the company, rather than on side tasks.
Due to Swiss work regulations, we can only offer internships to non-EU citizens if they are enrolled at a Swiss university and the internship is a mandatory part of their study programme. For Swiss and EU/EFTA citizens there are no restrictions.
